Will Carter
Will Carter is an artist, producer, educator, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised on a family farm just East of Knoxville, TN. After hearing a cassette of Steve Earle’s “Guitar Town” at the age of five, his path was fatefully set. His teenage years were spent studying music intensely and by his early twenties Carter became a highly sought after sideman. The next decade would find him on stage with Marty Stuart, Carl Jackson, Jackson Browne, and making numerous appearances on the Grand Ole Opry. In 2012, Carter was introduced to Ashley Campbell, daughter of country superstar, Glen Campbell. This became a long-standing musical partnership between Will and Ms. Campbell.
Will established his Eleanor Studios in 2016 with a specialization for recording and producing roots and electronic music. This creative space is where his debut album, Half Past Heartbreak, was recorded. This album is a cumulative work of Carter’s personal and professional experience, showcasing a solid dozen songs, all with just a 2- piece rhythm section and Carter carrying all other instrumentation
