Merry Maids of Knoxville Donating Services to Cancer Patients

By Lucy Lee

Merry Maids of Knoxville is a family-owned and operated, professional cleaning franchise since 1986 that has teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit serving cancer patients through free house cleaning.

“We all personally know a colleague, friend, or family member that has cancer,” said Alan Kitts, co-owner of Merry Maids of Knoxville. “We have seen the debilitating consequences, both physical and emotional, of their hopefully life-saving treatment. We want to help those enduring this hardship even if it is just in our small little way.”

Merry Maids of Knoxville has agreed to help cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months at no charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients within the company’s existing service areas of Blount, Anderson, and a portion of Loudon Counties.

“We are thrilled to join Cleaning For A Reason and to do what we can to assist cancer patients in our community and in this part of their life journey,” said Kim Kitts, co-owner of Merry Maids of Knoxville.
